Cora’s mother is the strongest Oldra she knows. She heals, can see the future and leads the Penna. Cora is sure she can never live up to her mother’s expectations or those of the clan, as her healing skills are limited at best; and rather than the future, she only sees her mother’s past. Her only skill appears to be the Oldra trait of being able to hear all dragons.
When she becomes lost and separated from her dragons, Cora fears she is trapped in a dream. The shadows of her mother’s past surround her, in a world very different to the one she knows. Saved by an outsider to his own clan, she fears he is the only one she can trust. Yet he has secrets of his own.
But being lost might be just what she needs to learn who she really is, and what skills she might have. As the darkness moves closer around her, she will need to find what is truly in her heart before she is lost to the shadows forever.
