My Story
Some people are born knowing they're writers. I was one of them.
I've been telling stories for as long as I can remember — scribbling in notebooks, losing afternoons to imaginary worlds, and filling pages with characters who refused to stay quiet. These days I do it with a laptop, a cup of something hot, and usually a cat walking across the keyboard at the worst possible moment.
I write fantasy and science fiction — sword and sorcery with heart, adventure with romantic edges, and worlds that feel lived-in and real even when they're anything but. My stories tend to explore the things that matter most to me: found family, belonging, the complicated tangle of relationships, and what it means to be brave when you're not sure you are. If you're looking for action, magic, and characters you actually care about, you're in the right place.
I'm a discovery writer, which means I uncover the story at the same pace you do — I genuinely don't know what's around the next corner until I write it. It keeps things surprising. It's also why I find it impossible to write a synopsis without giving myself a mild headache.
I live in southern Tasmania, where the light does extraordinary things and the landscape has a way of sneaking into everything I write. My writing desk overlooks the water, which sounds more romantic than it is when my daughter and kitten are competing for my attention — but I wouldn't change it.
On completing a Master of Arts in Writing, I made the decision to self-publish, because I wanted my stories to reach readers on my terms and on my timeline. I haven't looked back. I now have multiple series in print and digital, with new episodes and books releasing regularly throughout the year.
